If she’s such a great writer, why are you forcing me to watch video?

The other day, I got an email for an advertiser via Writer’s Digest.

Dear Writer’s Digest Subscriber,

Five years ago, Mindy McHorse was a lowly office worker in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a serious problem…

Like many Americans nowadays, she was deep in debt. She and her husband owed more than $100,000 on credit cards and student loans.

Stuck in a boring job with a 2-hour commute and a bullying boss, Mindy felt “trapped” in a life she never wanted.

You get the idea. But here’s the funny bit: At the bottom, it said this:

In short, she’s living the life she always dreamed of.

In this free video, Mindy tells her story in her own words. She says that you, too, can change your life just like she did. The secret is a simple 4-step “formula” for making six-figures from home.

So click here to watch Mindy’s story and discover the secret 4-step formula that unlocks the door to financial freedom. It changed Mindy’s life. It could change yours –starting today!

There’s no way to see her simple 4-step (or “four-step”) formula in words. To see how great this writer has it, I have to watch a video.

Somehow, I don’t think they’re addressing their audience very well.

One comment on “If she’s such a great writer, why are you forcing me to watch video?
  1. 1. I watched the video. What she said wasn’t just “off the cuff.” She had to write the script and plan what she was going to say. In much the same way most of what you see on TV and in the movies is scripted, someone has to first write the words.

    2. There was this clickable link just below the video: “(More of a reader? Find out more about The Barefoot Writer!)”

I’m not really seeing anything here to debunk her claims. Admittedly, I’m just starting my research to see if she and The Barefoot Writer are legitimate. While I do hold a degree of skepticism regarding the claims she makes, the only other derogatory items I’ve found so far are posts made, not by people who have invested and been disappointed, but by those who simply have an opinion. You know what they say about opinions. Research contnues…

This is just what I see. What do you see? (Your email won't be sold or used for spam.)
